Notes

'Alexandriana' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Alexandriana') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The full double flowers open in early to mid spring in light pink to deep pink and have a pleasant fragrance. The large, dark green leaves have finely jagged edges and feel leathery to the touch.

Pairs well with Iris, Ostrich fern, and Miss Kim lilac.
