Notes

'Al’s Choice' peony (Paeonia 'Al’s Choice') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant yellow flowers have irregular red streaks, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Roger F. Anderson bred it from Martha W. and Golden Era.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Spiked speedwell, Stargazer lily, and Switchgrass.
