Notes

Angel White lilac (Syringa vulgaris Angel White (Descanso Hybrid)) is a shrub for cut flowers, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It blooms in early to late spring, and the fragrant flowers draw bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Cytherea peony, Phantom panicle hydrangea, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
