Notes

'Angelet' peony (Paeonia 'Angelet') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The yellow flowers have delicate rose edges and deep maroon centers, and the slightly fluted blooms sit high above the foliage in early to late spring. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Jackmanii clematis, Pink Impression tulip, and Mock orange.
