Notes

'Anna Louise' clematis (Clematis 'Anna Louise') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, and specimen use, and it also works well in a border. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Raymond J. Evison bred it in 1993. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blue blooms.

Pairs well with Peony, Bee balm, and Mexican orange blossom.
