Notes

'Antique Satin' peony (Paeonia 'Antique Satin') is a shrub for specimen planting, borders, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Cream blooms with whitish petal edges open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Obsidian coral bells, Nelly Moser clematis, and Greig's tulip.
