Notes

'Antiqued Mahogany' peony (Paeonia 'Antiqued Mahogany') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and its single blooms face up in an unusual antique scarlet mahogany. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The upright stems reach 28 inches and need no support.

Pairs well with Clustered bellflower, Fire Island hosta, and Prairie dropseed.
