Notes

'Anyaha-hikare' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Anyaha-hikare') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Henry and Lee bred it in 1926. Because it is a shrub, its woody stems last through winter, so you can leave them standing. Give it room in the bed to grow each year.

Pairs well with Toad lily, Stargazer lily, and Blue grama.
