Notes

'Aotearoa' clematis (Clematis 'Aotearoa') is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is evergreen and attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Alister Keay bred it.

Pairs well with Bobo hydrangea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Western sword fern.
