Notes

'Apex Blue' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'Apex Blue') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy soil. It grows in a clumping form and has a fragrant scent. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Black-eyed Susan, and Stargazer lily.
