Notes

'East Friesland' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'East Friesland') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows in a clumping form and has fragrant leaves and flowers. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it, and it handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Sundrops, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Stargazer lily.
