Notes
'Ariadne' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Ariadne') is a tree for specimen planting, accent, woodland gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a broad shape, so give it room to spread. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Bees and birds visit it.
Pairs well with Green Carpet Japanese pachysandra, Spring snowflake, and Alpine hair grass.
