Notes

'Ariadne' peony (Paeonia 'Ariadne') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The fragrant, semi-double flowers are peach with red fringes around the edges. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Nassos Daphnis bred it, and the strong stems hold the blooms well.

Pairs well with Garden phlox, Sum and Substance hosta, Queen of Night tulip, and The President clematis.
