Notes

Arisaema (Arisaema ringens) is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy or loamy soil. The green and purple striped flowers bloom in early to late spring and have a yellow and white spadix. Glossy, three-parted leaves rise up through other shade plants. It grows slowly and forms large clumps with time.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Toad lily, and Autumn fern.
