Notes

Griffith's cobra lily (Arisaema griffithii) is a perennial for low maintenance shade and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The deep burgundy spathe has a hood-like tip, and an 18 inch burgundy thread dangles from the spadix. The leaves are trifoliate with purple blotches. In colder climates, you can grow it in a pot and protect it in winter.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Wood sorrel, and Snake's head.
