Notes

'Arrow Maker' peony (Paeonia 'Arrow Maker') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its single, deep crimson flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Edward Auten, Jr bred it, and Gilbert H. Wild and Son introduced it in 1968.

Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Switchgrass, Black Hero tulip, and Paprika yarrow.
