Notes

'Arsène Meuret' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Arsène Meuret') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Verdier bred it in 1854. The large, globular blooms are rose-pink to lilac with green flecks and open in early summer. Plants grow medium tall and stay erect.

Pairs well with Orange daylily, Garlic chives, and Kentucky bluegrass.
