Notes
'Ashie' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ashie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double, soft pink blooms have silvery shading and open in late spring. The 33 inch stems are a bit weak for the heavy flowers, so you may want to give them support. William Henry Krekler bred it.
Pairs well with Black Hero tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Japanese spirea.
