Notes

'Aspasie' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Aspasie') is a short perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are light pink with a butter yellow collar and a pleasant fragrance. Modeste Guérin bred it, and the dark green leaves sit on red stems.

Pairs well with Black Hero tulip, Cinnamon fern, and Japanese spirea.
