Notes

'Aureum' maple (Acer shirasawanum 'Aureum') is a tree for borders, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into an erect form with golden foliage that turns color in fall. Bees visit the small reddish-purple flowers.

Pairs well with Willow oak, Blue mistflower, and Goldenseal.
