Notes

'Avalon' plum (Prunus domestica 'Avalon') is a tree for a food garden and a pollinator garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. East Malling Research bred it in 1989. It is grown for fresh eating and cooking, with a strong, sweet Victoria-style flavor. Flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Honeycrisp apple, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Pink Impression tulip.
