Notes

'Baby Joe' coastal plain Joe Pye weed (Eutrochium dubium 'Baby Joe') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. Its purple, fragrant blooms draw butterflies, bees, and birds. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It stays compact at 24 to 36 inches tall.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Hummingbird sweet pepperbush, and Sedge.
