Notes
'Balfroskin' Siberian bugloss (Brunnera macrophylla 'Balfroskin') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, borders, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clumping mound and grows at a moderate pace. Bees visit the flowers from early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.
Pairs well with Frances Williams hosta, Blue wood aster, Paul Scherer tulip, and Little Hottie panicle hydrangea.
