Notes
'Barbara Jackman' clematis (Clematis 'Barbara Jackman') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist soil. The lavender to purple flowers have magenta bars around white and yellow stamens, and they open in May, June, and September. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Prune it as a group B1 clematis.
Pairs well with Paris coral bells, Incrediball hydrangea, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
