Notes

'Bashful Pink' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Bashful Pink') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears double pink blooms in mid to late spring and early summer. The strong stems stand 26 to 28 inches tall. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and it first bloomed in 1994.

Pairs well with False Solomon's seal, Hairy aster, Black Hero tulip, and Cinnamon fern.
