Notes

'Beach Comber' peony (Paeonia 'Beach Comber') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Large, ruffled, semi-double to double flowers open cream with dusty rose-pink shading in early to late spring. Side buds extend the bloom season, and strong stems hold the 7 inch flowers outward. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Toad lily, Korean spice viburnum, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
