Notes

'J. Beeney' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'J. Beeney') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant paper white blooms open in early to mid summer on strong stems. Col. Jesse C. Nicholls bred it in 1957.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Stargazer lily, Miss Kim lilac, and Pincushion flower.
