Notes

'Bellini' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Bellini') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are lilac-pink, so they make a soft color accent in the garden. Because it is a woody shrub, you can leave the stems in place through winter and prune only to shape it. Cut the blooms for a vase when the buds begin to open.

Pairs well with Cheyenne Spirit echinacea, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Pink Impression tulip, and Polish Spirit clematis.
