Notes

'Beni-kawa' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Beni-kawa') is a tree for specimen, accent, container, and woodland uses. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a broad shape and shows fall color. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bees and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Primrose, Ornamental onion, and Dogwood.
