Notes

'Bernice Carr' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Bernice Carr') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Semi-double light pink blooms with yellow centers open from mid to late spring into early summer. Stout stems hold the flowers about 34 to 36 inches high. Don Hollingsworth bred it.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Aromatic aster, and Spanish bluebell.
