Notes

'Bess Bockstoce' peony (Paeonia 'Bess Bockstoce') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, light pink flowers are showy and fragrant, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Medium height and good stems help the blooms stand up well.

Pairs well with Curly Fries hosta, Stargazer lily, and Western sword fern.
