Notes

'Best Bet' iris (Iris germanica 'Best Bet') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Pale violet-blue and deep purple flowers are fragrant and rebloom. The upright plants reach 32 to 36 inches tall. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Angel Cheeks peony, Knapweed, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
