Notes

'Dame de Coeur' iris (Iris germanica 'Dame de Coeur') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The fragrant raspberry red blooms have a tangerine beard and an ombre effect. Blooms appear in late spring and early to late summer.

Pairs well with Maiden pink, Stargazer lily, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Love-in-a-mist.
