Notes
'Bethel' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Bethel') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears medium-sized, semi-double, blush pink flowers on good stems. Mature plants make the most beautiful blooms. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it.
Pairs well with Wild bergamot, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Queen of Night tulip, and Anise hyssop.
