Notes

'Better Times' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Better Times') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears deep true pink flowers in early to mid summer on a compact plant with strong stems. The blooms measure about 6 inches across and 3 inches high. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it.

Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Spanish bluebell, and Tall fescue.
