Notes

'Betty Corning' clematis (Clematis 'Betty Corning') is a vine for cottage gardens, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Pale lilac, fragrant flowers draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Arthur H. Steffen introduced it in 1932. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Smooth hydrangea, Little bluestem, and Paris coral bells.
