Notes

'Bewitched' peony (Paeonia 'Bewitched') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single orange-red flowers open early in the bloom season and face upward. The finely cut green leaves make a nice backdrop, and the upright plants need no support. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Blue Angel hosta, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
