'Biclonal TS450' tea plant (Camellia sinensis 'Biclonal TS450') is a shrub for tea harvest, hedges, and screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. It has a spreading habit and tolerates more drought than other tea varieties. Pick only the top three young leaves from the branch tips during the warmer months. Tocklai Tea Research Institute bred it in 1970.
Pairs well with White sage, Bay laurel, Jasmine, and Lemon Grass lemongrass.
