Notes
'Christine's Choice' tea plant (Camellia sinensis 'Christine's Choice') is a shrub for tea harvest, hedges, and informal screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Its long, narrow, dark green leaves grow on heavily branching stems, so you get many shoots to pick. White to cream flowers open in early to mid autumn. You can prune it to any size, or use it in place of boxwood.
Pairs well with White Pillar rose of sharon, Shenandoah switchgrass, Ruby Star coneflower, and Elfin mother of thyme.
