Notes

'Big Boy' peony (Paeonia 'Big Boy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its white, single flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Good stem strength holds the blooms up on plants that grow to 30 inches tall.

Pairs well with Hosta, Spiked speedwell, and Little bluestem.
