'J.W. Bigger' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'J.W. Bigger') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are pure white, large, and full double. Broad, well rounded petals give each bloom excellent form. Strong, tall stems hold the blooms up, and the medium sized leaves are dark green.
Pairs well with Woolly yarrow, Spanish bluebell, and Foxtail barley.
