Notes

'Bikan' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Bikan') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flower arrangements. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Chugai introduced it in 1931. You can cut the blooms and bring them indoors for a vase. Plant it in a spot where it has room to grow as a woody shrub.

Pairs well with Praying Hands hosta, September Charm anemone, and Stargazer lily.
