Notes

'Bill Baker' smooth phlox (Phlox glaberrima 'Bill Baker') is a clumping perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant flowers open in spring and again in summer, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Nodding onion.
