Notes
'Forever Pink' smooth phlox (Phlox glaberrima 'Forever Pink') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. The fragrant purplish-pink flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, with more in early to mid autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Blue wild indigo, Blue-eyed grass, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
