Notes

Bishop's hat (Epimedium lishihchenii) is a perennial for naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part to full shade and dry to average soil. It grows 12 to 18 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide, so it forms a neat clump. Yellow flowers appear in mid to late spring. Plant it under trees or along a shady path to fill the space.

Pairs well with Wood lily, Appalachian sedge, and Wild hyacinth.
