Notes

'Black Eagle' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Black Eagle') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. The columnar shape fits small spaces, and the early to late spring blooms draw bees and butterflies. It is grown for eating fresh. Because it is not self-fertile, plant a second cherry nearby for fruit.

Pairs well with Little Hottie panicle hydrangea, Cat's Pajamas nepeta, and Mount Hood daffodil.
