Notes
'Black Jack' fig (Ficus carica 'Black Jack') is a fruit tree for containers and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It stays smaller and more compact than many figs, so it suits small gardens. You can grow it for fresh eating, preserves, and drying. It may give an early crop and possibly a later crop in lots of summer heat.
Pairs well with Persimmon, Sugar Snap pea, and Salal.
