Notes
'Blonde Elf' hosta (Hosta 'Blonde Elf') is a perennial for borders, shade gardens, rock gardens, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It stays small at 6 to 9 inches tall and spreads 18 to 24 inches wide. Lavender, fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and draw bees and hummingbirds.
Pairs well with Blue wood aster, Fernleaf peony, and Canada wild rye.
