Notes

'Blue Light' clematis (Clematis 'Blue Light') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Large violet-blue flowers have chartreuse centers and open as doubles in spring and semi-doubles in fall. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Hans Van Haasterd bred it as a sport of 'Mrs'. Cholmondeley.

Pairs well with Bobo hydrangea, David garden phlox, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
