Notes

'Blue Magic' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Blue Magic') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant dark violet flowers have a whitish throat and open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Halcyon hosta, and Prairie dropseed.
